The Lavrillier pieces were available in three versions: a first in nickel, a second in cupro-aluminium mainly intended for the colonies and a later one in aluminum.
The nickel type was launched in 1933 and only the first two years were in mass circulation.
After 1935, only the 1937 and 1938 vintages circulated very little. The 1936 and 1939 vintages are extremely rare.
